OSM server congestion?
mapus mapus erabiltzaileak 9 Iraila 2008 datan argitaratua English hizkuntzanI'm using Potlatch to edit my area (can't use JOSM on X.3.9) and the service seems to be very very slow. Loading ways takes ages or even stalls. Is this just congestion on the OSM server? Should I just try later or is it more likely to be some other problem?

Potlatch is really slow, especially when you are editing in a large window.

i find that zooming right in before switching to the edit tab helps.

smsm1: "Loading ways takes ages" is nothing to do with Potlatch - that's an API thing.

It gets worse during 17.00 and 22.00 GMT when all the Germans start mapping- ggg.
