Danke für den Hinweis, die Funktion kenne ich. Muss mir wieder abgewöhnen, in Streetcomplete Hinweise zu erstellen, anstatt private GPX-Notizen. Aber manchmal ist das so verdammt praktisch ;-)

Bei der Verlegung der Gleise scheinen einige Nodes mit Milestones und Signalen am alten Platz zurückgeblieben zu sein und liegen nun *neben* dem Gleis.

The current tagging scheme is documented in ORM wiki: osm.wiki/DE:OpenRailwayMap/Tagging#Gleis (unfortunately only in the german one. As ORM is a very Germany centric project at all at the moment :-/ )

This tag indicates that the tram track has no surface like asphalt, paving stones or grass, but only the "naked" ballast.
I would have preferred you to start this discussion before removing information from the database, even if it seems useless to you.

I removed another railway milestone from this changeset (osm.org/node/4011287240) in the middle of nowhere and containing german descriptions.

Das mag sein, ich frage mich aber immer, wie einem potenziellen Kartennutzer diese Information (höhö) weiterhelfen könnte. Bei name=Information fällt mir dazu kein Szenario ein, für das das hilfreich sein könnte.

Ist "name=Information" so zielführend? osm.wiki/DE:Names#name_ist_nur_der_Name
