I set off to map maxim park off the m8 see maximpark.co.uk, but I only put in best guess as its off limits unless you can get past a secure entry point... but I will try to talk my way in.

Looking at the satellite imagery, there's no gates or anything. They're unlikely to stop you, especially if you do what JohnSmith says :)

get an OSM hiviz vest and wear it while mapping the park, strutting around as though you own the park - and pay security their wages.
they'll spot the hiviz vest and think you're doing something official ;-)

well no joy ...yet they have metal posts that come up in the road and the office was empty so could not ask to get in with car, but I might just walk in next time.
