Turn lanes should not be mapped as separate ways. Please see the following.

This changeset messed up a lot of the sidewalks in Southwood, removing highway=footway.

Thank you for catching that. I just assumed that this was a new development, not yet showing up in satellite views.

In this changeset you added a duplicated Fort Braden School in the wrong location. You can see the existing and correctly mapped school at osm.org/way/285388967

In this changeset you added a duplicate of Sabal Palm Elementary, with some incorrect tags (build=school, and layer=-1).

When naming things, make sure to avoid abbreviations.

Thank you for adding the name of many bus stops in this area.

Please remember that abbreviations in names should be avoided.

Thank you for your interest in contributing to OpenStreetMap. There are a number of issues that myself and others have resolved.

1. My House. That will just show up on the map as "My House". Nobody looking at it would know who "My" refers to, and this kind of very personal information is usually not appropriate to add to the map.
2. My Walking Route. This is the same as above. This is a map for everyone so they can find things. It wouldn't be reasonable for the entire world's walking routes as that is not generally useful.
3. "Stop Here" All stop signs are for stopping. The name field is for adding the name of something. Stop signs almost never have names, and if they do "Stop Here" is not likely to be their name.

If you have any questions feel free to drop my a line and I'd be happy to assist you with answering them.

Thank you for your help mapping Tallahassee. The roads inside Players Club Apartments where made wavy in many places where the road is actually straight. I have straightened these roads as appropriate.

Thank you for your contributions to OSM. When tagging buildings, I'd like to point out a few ways to improve.

1. Do not describe the building with the name tag. e.g. name=Townhouses is not appropriate, unless "Townhouses" was the actual name of the building.

2. Use the "ref=" for numbered items, like numbered building. So instead of "name=Building 1" use "ref=1".

This user has mapped a lot of non-existent feature around Tallahassee. I had to remove all of the recycling bins that were added in osm.org/changeset/102672041 I'm wondering if this account was some class assignment where the students didn't make any real attempt at mapping actual features.

Remember that the name tag is "To provide details of the name for a feature included in OpenStreetMap."
Source: osm.wiki/Names

Are you sure these recycling bins exist? We map actual features, not possible features.

The surface tag was created to be used by those who wish to use it. I hardly see any harm in marking if a surface is paved or not. Some navigational apps, like OsmAnd, allow navigation to avoid unpaved roads. By denoting which roads are paved or not paved allows consumers to make decisions like this.

I do not say this to be rude, but going around providing this level of critique to mappers who are using their own time to improve the project is worse than pointless, it is harmful.

Thanks for the great contribution here. I wanted to provide some feedback about the drawing of buildings. The intention is to use the satellite imagery to approximate the shape of the walls, not to outline the roof as it appears from space. After you have outlined the walls (not the roof) you can right-click the building and use the "Square" option to get perfect right-angles on the building.

I'm 100% unwilling to get into an edit war over this, but the entire grounds is "Dollar General" If you are on a call sitting in the parking lot and someone asks, "Where are you" you may answer "At Dollar General" and nobody would try to pedantically correct you. The property is colloquially "at Dollar General" the building is colloquially "in Dollar General"

Right or wrong, this is the reason I mapped it like I did.

The toll was removed from this bridge as the Pensacola Three Mile Bridge has ongoing repairs due to a hurricane. While the repairs are slated for completion this year some believe it will not be completed until next year. See the following news article for more details.

The name of osm.org/way/784691372 is not "?" Use either the "fixme" tag or leave a note.

Welcome to OSM and thanks for taking the time to contribute. The roads you added here are already on the map and you had added them over the existing roads. I have removed your duplicated roads so that only the original roads are here. If you have any questions about mapping feel free to drop me a line.

I love the drawing in of these shrubs so much.
