Ich hab selber recht umfangreiche Notizen über Obstbäume und arbeite aktuell daran die halbautomatisch mit OSM abzugleichen.
Ich habe mir dafür auch einen Spezialisierten Editor geschrieben: “Treewarden”.

That sounds interesting! Where can we find the “Treewarden” app, and is there an English interface?

Thanks for your interest. Source is at https://github.com/mdornseif/osm-treewarden a prototype is at https://mdornseif.github.io/osm-treewarden/.
There is not documentation and it is aimed so far at old growth orchards in East-Belgium , Luxembourg and Germany.
It aims at displaying only what is of interest to arborists and suggest them sensible tag values.
For example consumers love leaf_type - but for the botanical inclined this can be deducted reliably from genus and species.
The most interesting stuff for me resolves around taxon, taxon:cultivar and cultivar. I’m very interested in using wikidata IDs to allow disambiguating.
I dream also of building something like street complete for the botanically inclined.
Hope this gives some idea.

Thanks for sharing the repo.
Have you had any chance to try the trees theme from MapComplete: https://mapcomplete.org/trees ?
