This pedestrian bridge is fenced off at both sides so it is not accessible. Even without the fencing, each side has stairs so it would not be suitable for bicycle routing.

East of Swopes Valley Road the Swatara Rail Trail is narrower, rootier, and may be muddy.

In November 2024 this road was inaccessible from around this point because the crossing over a gully appeared to be washed out. There was signage indicating a closure.
