Had a nice 5 day holiday in the Grampian Ranges last week and as well as getting several hikes in the area I also managed to get a few hundred kilometers of track data as well. I've just finished adding most of the roads in to OSM this evening and once I get back online with ADSL I'll upload the 25mb of gpx track logs I'd collected. I might use LandSat satellite photos to trace some of the lakes over the next few weeks when I'm getting bored.

Recently had occasion to travel to NE suburbs of Melbourne from Gippsland so I set myself some routes through the Dandenong Ranges to fill in some detail there. I've added Silvan Reservoir and finished the C424 from Launching Place down towards Pakenham, added the C411, C412. Filled in the missing sections of the C404 (still incomplete) & C415 as well as adding numerous smaller roads. Lots of work still required in the Dandenongs but the major roads are definitely taking shape.

I'm slowly getting the major roads of South Eastern Victoria (Australia) added to the OSM network. The mapping is slowing down as the distances from home to unmapped area's (and fuel prices) get higher so I've started adding lakes and rivers from LanSat imagery over the last several weeks. I still have more minor roads in the area to add and will do these as time & opportunity arise.

Had to drive to Melbourne today to pick up a DVD recorder from the workshop so I decided to make a mapping trip out of it. Drove from Moe to Willow Grove then on to Noojee with a stop to hike into Toorongo Falls. Hiked into the Old Trestle Bridge at Noojee and then after a quick lunch drove on up through Poweltown to Yarra Junction and then back down in to Gembrook before heading in to Knox City. Quick trip to Springvale Junction and then back home down the Freeway. 17,578 points logged and 391km's later I'm home and just spent the last 2 hours tracing some of the new roads. Time for bed now.

I've now added the Princes Frw (& Hwy) from Berwick to Nowa Nowa in far East Victoria. I'll need traces from someone else to continue to the NSW border. Adding some C class roads down towards the coast and local street data next.

Using JOSM with the Validator plugin and spent the last 2 days fixing the 100 km stretch of freeway I had created a few days ago. Seems I'm the only person adding to Eastern Victoria, Australia.

Started adding to OpenStreetMap a few days ago and made mistake after mistake.
