Hi, thanks for pointing it out. It was a mistake. I see that it has already been corrected.

Hello, thanks for the reference. Since the removal of layer tag, it is creating a lot of conflicts with the highways. What would be the best tag to use in this case? Will you implement those to resolve the conflicts?

153442519 12 months ago

Hello, can you explain why did you remove the 'layer = -1' tag in the following ways:
osm.org/way/59921601/ ;

osm.org/way/59922780 ;

osm.org/way/59932803 ;

osm.org/way/135352074 ;

Satellite shows that the waterways are below road level and thus 'layer = -1' seems valid. Since the tag removal, it is now conflicting with the roads above. If the tag removal is valid, then further corrections will be needed in the roads themselves. Kindly check and fix.

Hi, it looks like you have tried mapping for the first time. Before starting to map, orient yourself with how OpenStreetMap and feature tagging works. The mapping you did created many issues, so I will suggest learning to map first. You can check out the beginner's guide here: https://learnosm.org/en/

Hi, your highway edits are overlapping a lot of buildings and creating a lot of issues. Also, you need to adjust imagery to the existing dataset before creating new highways or adjusting alignments. Kindly fix the issues.

@BonnetPlumeRiver: Looks like you modified the highway here to match Maxar Imagery. However all the data of the area has an offset to it so moving the highway has created many conflicts. When the data area offset, you have to use offset otherwise the relations between features are not accurate. Can you fix the conflicts?

Hi, can you confirm the case of "EP LWINI"? OSMOSE is showing it as an issue as the name should be perhaps "Ep Lwini". Also, does EP stands for "École Polytechnique"?

Hi, yeah I know about imagery offset and I generally use them when there are major misalignment but later on I have to store them to Imagery Offset Database for users to access them. I use JOSM. Even when I revisit those places, I have to download those offsets and then work on them. But when I visited the area where I mapped earlier, that you later corrected, I found that the Maxar Premium Imagery (Beta) was already shifted even without me having to fetch an offset from database. So I was wondering how did that happen? Was it because it was done with ID editor?

Hi, thanks for reaching out. When I was mapping, the imagery was not shifted.
For future references: How do you shift an image so that all users also see the shift? Thanks

Hi, thanks for responding. I will follow up with the person who created the road and update accordingly.

Hi, none of the imagery are showing that this road exists or crosses the river. Can you confirm?

No worries. That is how we learn. Thanks for editing.

Hi, the service highway is overlapping with multiple buildings and is glued with two buildings. Highways should not overlap or glued to any buildings. Kindly fix. Also the road does not align with Bing. If the road is drawn from "local knowledge", then add that as source. Thanks

Hello, while mapping I noticed that the buildings are not aligned with Maxar Premium Imagery even though it is mentioned as the source. Are you using any offset?

Hello, Osmose is showing issues for inconsistent tagging for a Primary road you drew. It has both highway = primary & construction = primary tags. Any of the one should be used. Can you confirm if the construction is completed and fix the issue?

Hi, looks like a lot of the ways are not closed and they are overlapping with already existing features. Can you check and correct?

Got it. Thanks for clarifying.

Hi, looks like the buildings are all duplicated and the ways are not closed. Can you fix?
