I have no idea what stop is. | After checking the translation for my mother tongue, I can say that “Osm:Site.key.table.entry.stop” and “Osm:Site.key.table.entry.bus stop” are similar but different. “…bus stop” refers specifically to stop for bus, while ….stop is more acceptable word for all types of public transport vehicle waiting spots. In other words, that “stop” is used more or less like “station”. In English language train stop doesn’t make as much sense as train station. Where station can be used like bus station, train station and ferry station. I understand that this logic falls apart a bit if you are talking about taxi. Because no 2 languages are equal, don’t be afraid to use a descriptive short phrase. Japanese word or phrase for “Waiting spot” could be a better translation for Osm:Site.key.table.entry.stop than word to word translation for bus stop. I don’t speak or understand Japanese, and what I tried to explain might not have made any sense to you. If that is the case, I am sorry. |
