135898959 | about 2 years ago | Thanks for your comments and insights! Please correct my edits where you know them to be wrong. I was going off of the most recent aerial imagery I could find, but sometimes that does not show the level of detail needed to make these calls of disused vs active vs abandoned. I probably should have been a bit more cautious. I agree with your interpretation of abandoned vs disused. If you're local, come to the SLC Mappers meetup sometime! Keep an eye on osmcal.org for the next meetup. |
126006253 | over 2 years ago | I'll delete it because I don't know where it should be. So I'll leave it up to you to add it again in the correct place. Enjoy your vacation! |
126006253 | over 2 years ago | Hello! Did you mean to create this cafe on the south pole? |
132279302 | over 2 years ago | Ah, in that case it's probably best to create two or more separate nodes inside of the building and add the addresses for all apartments on those separate nodes. This is not a hard and fast rule though. Alternative approaches listed here: osm.wiki/Addresses#Buildings_with_multiple_house_numbers |
132279302 | over 2 years ago | Thanks for the updates! I noticed that you added address information on the building polygon as well as one of the points in the polygon as well, this is not needed. Let me know if you have any questions!

132083846 | over 2 years ago | Usually I mark something as a driveway only when it belongs to a single home, otherwise just highway=service and if there's no public access access=private.
|
132084031 | over 2 years ago | The section NE of Thornfield looks to be private, but the section SW looks like it has several houses abutting it.

130174950 | over 2 years ago | what makes something 'excessive' instead of just 'detailed'? |
128795981 | over 2 years ago | Looks like there were only 4 objects in the world with the `magic_wand` key and the only one I did not create seems to have been deleted in the meantime:

128795981 | over 2 years ago | Removed those tags in osm.org/changeset/129606602 |
128795981 | over 2 years ago | I guess these should be deleted. I don't know what the best practice is for indicating source on features but I agree this is probably not it. |
129453003 | over 2 years ago | looking great! thanks for all the map updates! |
107851849 | almost 3 years ago | Nice! |
125948703 | almost 3 years ago | Oh thanks, I did not know about that! Thanks. |
125385179 | almost 3 years ago | Thanks for the quick add! Within hours of opening, I think? |
124162563 | about 3 years ago | Also because 1300S continues all the way to redwood and beyond (as California Ave) whereas 1700S and 900S kind of dead end on the W side. 800S (and Indiana) on the other hand could be Secondary? |
124162563 | about 3 years ago | I agree with 1300 S, not so sure about 1700 S. I would argue keep 900 E and 1700 S tertiary, change 1300 S to secondary. |
124196142 | about 3 years ago | Awesome, thanks! |
123626218 | about 3 years ago | Makes sense. I don't like that intersection. Cross it on my bike from time to time going up Sunnyside. Glad they're thinking of ways to make it safer. |
