Discovered www.maproulette.org.

It creates simple update tasks for you on OSM. I am using JOSM for the editing. Maproulette can tie into JOSM making the editing process even more simple.

Add hostel in El Escamplero. Add PR AS-172 Ruta de los Lanceros.

Update of highways in Gozon. Update of highways in Las Regueras. Update of highways around Llampaxuga.

Add various track (segments) in Las Regueras. Need to return to survey a segment close to La Estaca. Add various bars and doctors post in San Claudio.

Update of highway classification in Caces (from Track to Residential). Reflect track from Buseco to Las Carangas. Reflect El Rebollal as place. Reflect drinking water in Buseco and El Pando. Reflect restaurant Chema close to Las Guertonas.

Mapping the world is quite addictive! This is a great way of getting to know where you live.

Hopefully answering my own question on how to tag certain highways with a specific route name (different than its official name), I believe this is done via “Relation”.

Added some religious places in and around San Claudio. Also added two recycling poi’s.

Removed a double entry for Llampaya as place.

Copied my first gps trace into OSM with some helpful pointers from the community. Thanks for that!

I struggle sometimes to adequately classify highways. Many seem to struggle in the area that I am looking at because many are “unclassified”. Added Agüera.

I also need to find out if you can map various classifications over the same highway. Eg. I would like to somehow map the El Camino Primitivo a Santiago at some point.

New and updated poi’s in San Claudio, Valsera and Santullano. Yesterday’s updates include a way, and the creation of some buildings in Agüera. Still need to create Agüera as a place. Also need to figure out how to use a gpx route to create tracks in osm.
