National Waterways in India
Postiwyd gan naveenpf ar 31 Mawrth 2016 yn English Diweddarwyd ddiwethaf ar 4 Ebrill 2016.Much awaited National Waterway bill has been passed in both houses on Indian parliament. National Waterways Act,2016 has been published in gazette. It time to map all 111 National Waterways across India.

That looks like a good idea. In general waterway mapping in India is already pretty extensive but the big ones are generally poor in terms of riverbank mapping. This especially applies to the NW1 and NW2 here.
One big problem in India is that water levels and therefore the extent of the rivers varies enormously between dry season and monsoon season. Mappers need to be aware of this - otherwise you get results like here:
