I did meet up with SteveC very early on and developed my own (very, very basic, intended for personal use only) editor, so was probably doing something with that. XML-RPC if I remember right!

I can't even remember what I was doing. Possibly just testing the API from a client application.

Hi, I thought I had reverted them myself in JOSM. It was a new app I'm developing, had a bug. Anyhow, app has been using the dev server version of the OSM API since so shouldn't be happening now.

Sorry - only just seen this. This path was open in 2006 but in recent visits appears to be closed - or only accessible to paying customers of Mottisfont House/Garden. I presume the Mottisfont Estate Path has been re-routed but not sure where.
