me too ;-) In my french town, I'm especially tagging (of course) roads, but bus stops too. Google Transit XML format seems interesting in a project like OSM, but shall be a little difficult to maintain (and a lot of OSM people seem to think that datas like bus timetable are none of OSM's business).

The point is that you wouldn't need to maintain it, because you could import it from the XML files - IF the poviders made the data available to OSM.

Some organizations already publish transit data: http://code.google.com/p/googletransitdatafeed/wiki/PublicFeeds
But the licensing issue remains.
