thx for looking at it. This was a manual edit (i looked at each item one by one, verifying it). The tool i used to find these is what generated the comment (I should have updated it before saving but forgot)

Yes, the just blocked the southbond car traffic portion for restaurants, but left the bike lane both ways (bike lane is a separate two way lane as oppose to an extra lane on each side of the road)

Доброго времени. А зачем вы поменяли "building=yes" на "building=Здание без конкретного типа" ? Произвольный текст не поймёт ни один потребитель данных.

P.S. All borough for other countries in the wiki table are at level 8, except Israel (level 9).

55800014 over 6 years ago

Everything except the 2605310 - which is a proper borough -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skagway,_Alaska , but I am not sure what admin level it should be.

55800014 over 6 years ago

I think you are right, Bethel does not appear to be an administrative entity, so it probably shouldn't have admin_level tag, and it should have boundary=census ... BTW, what did you use to generate those images?

55800014 over 6 years ago

Hi Wambacher, which county overlaps with the real county? Alaska's unorganized borough is a "county-equivalent", per osmwiki and wikipedia, e.g. see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/County_(United_States)#County_equivalents and osm.wiki/Tag:boundary%3Dadministrative

Hi captaininler! The wikidata ID was added because that object already had a wikipedia tag, so it simply added a corresponding wikidata ID.This is identical to how when you add a wikipedia tag using iD editor, it automatically adds a corresponding wikidata tag. If you think it should not be there at all (neither wd nor wp tags), or if it should be pointing to a different page/id, feel free to modify. Thanks!

@fims7, после моего редактирования статья в Википедии была удалена, и с ней удалили и Викиданные.

Hi! Please take a look at the osm.wiki/Key:default_language -- this key is not about the primary spoken language. It only indicates the primary language of the "name" tag. It is very possible that it should be changed to "fa" for Afganistan. Or maybe there should be smaller areas with the other default. I do not speak either of the languages, so feel free to change it to whatever the primary "name tag" language is. Thanks for looking into it!!!

Polyglot, you are right about inheritance. The question though is not about what is spoken, but only what language is used in the "name" tag in that territory. So if name tag only has one name, default_language should say what language it is. There are places that have two languages in the name, e.g. osm.org/relation/54094 -- uses "namefr - namenl" format, but this is not the case here. I looked up all names in Aruba - http://overpass-turbo.eu/s/yEh and in Curaçao - http://overpass-turbo.eu/s/yEi -- seems the language is fairly consistent, and mostly English? (I'm not an expert here). If you think there are smaller areas that use specific language, than subregions should be set with the default_language there.

The whole point of this tag is to help data consumers to determine language of the "name" tag. If we have multiple semicolon separated languages, it becomes useless for that purpose.

Thanks!

Hi, thanks for adding default_language, but the value "nl;pap;en" is not usable for it. See multilingual section in osm.wiki/Key:default_language . Thanks!

58732191 over 7 years ago

Nah, I think it's ok if there is a reason to keep all those values, thanks for explaining!

58732191 over 7 years ago

Hi, why should osmrel:2528269 and osmrel:2531450 have the same default_language, if it's the same? I think it would be hard to maintain multiple ones, especially if you start adding it to small cities :)

Original -- name_int=Platia Leon Rodiou

22598202 over 7 years ago

JyriK, there are now two name_int and int_name tags on way 135498596 -- I am keeping the int_name=Leonidou Rodiou Sqr. but feel free to change it. There shouldn't be a name_int. Thx!

14144228 over 7 years ago

Hi, I removed name_int -- that's not a correct tag -- it should be int_name. The value is almost the same, and I suspect "ulitsa" is not really needed there

Hi, please use name:ja-Latn, not name:ja_Latn to be consistent with all other labels. Thanks! (I will fix it)

Hi, I am very sorry, I don't understand. I think Google translate is creating a very bad translation.
