I was crazy enough to install Nokia Java Runtime 2.0 for S60 from Nokia Beta labs. Then I tried to install JOSM Java OSM editor (josm-tested.jar which I renamed josm-2255.jar). When trying to install the .jar file on the phone i got an error "compulsory attribute 'MIDlet Name' missing".

Yes, Nokia Java Runtime for S60 is a Java ME runtime, whereas JOSM needs Java SE. If you want to use OSM on your mobile, have a look at osm.wiki/Software/Mobilephones which has a good list of available software.
If you want to edit OpenStreetMap from your phone while out and about, have a look at GpsMid, it has at least some very primitive editing features, and allows you to change, add and delete tags on existing ways as well as add new POIs directly from your phone. Hopefully in the future it will support some more simple editing features such as the ability to change existing POIs.
Having a full fledged editor on the phone is probably rather difficult due to the tiny screen and limited input device capabilities.

Thans for the coments. I'll have a look at the SW list.
I have already been using the trial version of AFTrack. It show OSM maps nicely and has some aid for OSM mapping. But the trial is very limited, so don't know if I want to spend the 33 € for it.
