I wonder if it is worth starting to clean up the Italo-Swiss border which became a gigantic mess after the Italian border mass-import. Not to mention that Italy looks terrible now both in Mapnik and Osmarender with all those village borders.

It certainly looks like it could do with cleaning up. The village borders do somewhat clutter the map up...

Why are the nation (CH-IT) and the village/region borders on different position ? Which one is the correct nation border? ISTAT or CIA World database II ?

The two or three spots at the border I was at suggest that the ISTAT data is more precise. It was imported a while back, then removed and now was imported again.
That's actually why I was asking. If it is not going to stay, I don't bother to edit anything. But if it is, I may given some spare time.

I will take the ISTAT points and clean up the others. is that ok ?
