155523383 | 9 months ago | Happy to do it if you prefer, I can see the junction from here! |
155523383 | 9 months ago | Hi. I added the new junction, with turning lanes just after it opened but it looks like you've updated based on out of date Bing images. Can you revert? |
156289233 | 10 months ago | Hi IpswichEdits. Updated. Removed driveway: added Access=private and footpath. Took the liberty of adding permissive for cycles! I'd like to see the impact on cycle routing engines over the next couple of weeks as it is a safer/nicer route than Church Lane from London Road. |
156289233 | 11 months ago | Hi IpswichEdits. Thanks for your comments, very helpful and I've just had an interesting read about service=driveways and learnt a new term pipestem (shared driveways). I originally added driveway because of that sign at the end of the road and your comment about access is also correct. Will review later this week. |

128602709 | almost 2 years ago | Hi davidbavin-hobbs. You updated this path to allow access for bikes and walking. Do you have a source to confirm the change as the definitive map marks it as a footpath. |
124440137 | almost 3 years ago | Removed highway=track - thanks. That explains why cycle.travel was still navigating this way - I was about to ask for help but you highlighted it first. |
24865134 | almost 4 years ago | By the way I use cycle.travel all the time so understand your interest! |
24865134 | almost 4 years ago | Cycled today from the start point at Stratford St Mary and the route is clearly signed as a cycle way all the way to the petrol station in question. To the petrol staion (from the south) is mainly a 1m wide path and 2m-5m away from the highway with a couple of short pinch points (it was built in the early 80s I think). Poorly maintainted but we didn't need to dismount or join the A12 carriageway to pass. The section from the petrol station to Capel is not signed and well overgrown but I suspect the signs are buried in the overgrown pathway. Highways England have accepted responsibility according to the BBC https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-suffolk-58077620. I'll give it a couple of weeks and cycle it again. It's not a nice route but it is a direct route, to loud mainly, but it is clearly designated as a cycle route. All the best Gary. |
24865134 | almost 4 years ago | Morning Richard. How odd. I cycled passed the start of this route at Stratford St Mary only last week and the group of us said we must try that route to Ipswich again at some point. The section from Capel to Ipswich is fine, only used that a few days back and clearly signed. I'll try the lower section today with another cyclists who is more critical of routes than me and report back. |
51348515 | almost 8 years ago | Fixed. Also added address, opening times and rather than a generic store name added Premier Brand. |
45471107 | over 8 years ago | I was unsure how those living in the short section between the Roundabout and Podium Close would access their homes. It looks like actually their garages are behind the houses so I'll remove the motor vehicle flag accordingly. |
