My mistake with my comment of long walk. I mixed up my local edits with some additional edits I tried based upon one of the OSM video tutorials on adding residential areas where it uses Africa as an example.

If I have incorrectly used residential areas in these examples then my apologies. I'm happy to delete. I was planning to come back shortly to add more detail and felt that adding these areas would help me identify the areas quickly.
What would you suggest?
I will look more at the details of size of area as per your links.
