OpenStreetMap
Its been about a month for me to explore OpenStreetMaps and it feels great to contribute to this wonderful community for a wonderful purpose. Though majority of the people of the society are still big fan of Google Maps and are not even aware of this openstreetmaps.
More awareness needs to be generated among people to contribute towards OSM rather than google maps.

Welcome to OSM.
I really hope that OSM in India (or in the Orient as a whole) will one day be as complete as OSM in the west.
If you know other tech-savvy people in your area, do share it*. I’ve seen some new faces around my region recently, and work is progressing fast here. You’ll notice, the more data is on the map, the more data will be added (it’s like a virus).
*) With sharing, I don’t mean nagging, use OSM where you can, and if someone asks, tell what you know about it.
