64228642 | over 6 years ago | Please do not move road ref=s to within the road name. Allow the renderer to make a decision about this. Someone's going to have to come and undo all of this now. |
40187305 | almost 7 years ago | Heh. Should possibly put a warning filter on the HOT task manager for sensitive words. This task will have resulted in thousands of edits with this tag. Though then again this was 2 years ago so maybe they've got better at this now. |
63128324 | almost 7 years ago | Did you mean to remove the name "Hollis Court" in this edit? It's broken a match against the Ordnance Survey Locator dataset: https://ris.dev.openstreetmap.org/oslmusicalchairs/map?osl_id=384080 |
63371887 | almost 7 years ago | BTW - there's a specific tag for postcode (addr:postcode), and there's also a tag (not:name) that can be used to mark a road as specifically _not_ a name (in case someone tries to "fix" it back to match some other dataset. I've made these changes in osm.org/changeset/63491136 |
63051884 | almost 7 years ago | Cool - give it a not:name= tag to mark this fact and stop anyone trying to naively "fix it" to match OS Locator: https://ris.dev.openstreetmap.org/oslmusicalchairs/map?osl_id=621168 |
63008778 | almost 7 years ago | Did you mean to delete the road "Montem Street" in this edit? It broke a match against the Ordnance Survey Locator database: https://ris.dev.openstreetmap.org/oslmusicalchairs/map?osl_id=516476 |
61244174 | almost 7 years ago | Did you mean to remove the "highway" tag from "Caerleon Road" in this edit? It broke a match with OS Locator: https://ris.dev.openstreetmap.org/oslmusicalchairs/map?osl_id=136877 |
62679253 | almost 7 years ago | Did you mean to delete "Wilton Place" in this changeset? It broke a match with OS Locator: https://ris.dev.openstreetmap.org/oslmusicalchairs/map?osl_id=924521 |
62387705 | almost 7 years ago | Are you sure the whole thing is called Chesterfield Road? OS's Locator dataset seems to think it changes at the corner: https://ris.dev.openstreetmap.org/oslmusicalchairs/map?osl_id=355427 If you're sure I'll add a not:name= tag here to stop someone coming along and "fixing it" back. |
62089979 | almost 7 years ago | I'm going to assume https://ris.dev.openstreetmap.org/oslmusicalchairs/map?osl_id=929892 is not called "Wrenmere Close" anymore because ... it's not a close anymore, so I'll add that as old_name=, I guess... |
62243475 | almost 7 years ago | Careful - think you managed to remove the name "Poleshill Lane" in this edit: https://ris.dev.openstreetmap.org/oslmusicalchairs/map?osl_id=595237 |
62038941 | almost 7 years ago | Hi - did you mean to remove the name "Lockhart Road" from here in this edit? It's broken a match against Ordnance Survey's Locator dataset: https://ris.dev.openstreetmap.org/oslmusicalchairs/map?osl_id=906615 |
61994066 | almost 7 years ago | Excellent - will be good to keep an eye on what it ends up as |
61994066 | almost 7 years ago | When you say "closed" roads, do these roads still physically exist? If so it would be better to simply mark them as closed. |
61800640 | almost 7 years ago | If you're certain this section of road https://ris.dev.openstreetmap.org/oslmusicalchairs/map?osl_id=466713 is called Brooklands and not Lower Village Street, would you mind adding a not:name= tag to it to record this and prevent someone coming back and "fixing" it? |
61792017 | almost 7 years ago | The gpx traces are only used as source material on which to base actual map data. They're not used for more than a background to trace the roads on. It's not worth deleting the gpx unless it is big & completely wrong. You can try adding a more detailed one on top of it or just work from the aerial imagery provided in the editor. |
61805109 | almost 7 years ago | Great work - welcome to OpenStreetMap! |
61792017 | almost 7 years ago | Hi - welcome to OpenStreetMap. You've forgotten to tag these new ways you've added in this edit before saving them. Without this information OSM doesn't know what they are - they're just abstract "lines". To tag them in the web-based editor (iD), you need to select them and then choose a tag from the menu on the left. I suspect these are supposed to be footpaths? |
61662730 | almost 7 years ago | Careful - in removing & replacing the road, you didn't restore its attributes (name, oneway-ness), breaking a match against the OS Locator dataset https://ris.dev.openstreetmap.org/oslmusicalchairs/map?osl_id=297055 I've restored the name in my changeset osm.org/changeset/61773338 and also re-connected the junction with the footpath to the west (if two ways don't share a "node", OSM doesn't class them as connected and therefore can't route across them). I haven't restored the oneway-ness, because I don't know whether following the area changes this is still oneway. Is it? If so please re-add a oneway tag to it. Anyway, welcome to OpenStreetMap! |
61198876 | almost 7 years ago | Excellent - I'll add a not:name= tag to it to document this and hopefully stop anyone trying to "fix" this "fault". Welcome to OpenStreetMap! |
