162463373 | 6 months ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap. For places with London postcodes, the value of addr:city is London, corresponding to the post town. The optional name of the suburb, in this case Neasden goes into addr:suburb Phone numbers should be in international format, e.g. +44 20 xxxx xxxx I've tweaked the tags for this branch in osm.org/changeset/162464809 |
162452719 | 6 months ago | (Review requested) Welcome to OpenStreetMap and thanks for adding your business to the map. You will need to add tag(s) to tell data consumers what sort of business you are. If it's your office, you could add something like office=company (or another more appropriate value - see osm.wiki/Key:office ) If you need any help, please feel free to ask. |
162445610 | 6 months ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Unfortunately, your added dragged parts of Vicarage Road, Felcot Road and a post box out of position. I have restored these in osm.org/changeset/162448418 Please be more careful. |

162433247 | 7 months ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap and thanks for updating the map around Hoo St Werburgh. Unfortunately, you disconnected the path from from Vicarage Lane, which the iD editor warned you about. You deleted two service roads which the aerial imagery shows still exists. In OSM, if an object still exists, it is considered good practice to apply the appropriate tags, in this case a driveway and a parking aisle. These have been undeleted and tagged accordingly. Please could you also confirm whether the footpath (which is not a sidewalk, having no street of which it could be a sidewalk) to the NW of Church Farm Close is separated by a physical barrier? If not, why did you disconnect them? |
162340843 | 7 months ago | Thanks, I saw your later changesets. I've added the ref:GB:usrn tags to the sections where we can be reasonably confident about the names. Some of the other segments will need to be picked up by local mappers when construction is complete. The presence of construction=* tags should prompt periodic checks by any StreetComplete users. |
162400399 | 7 months ago | (Review requested) Welcome to OpenStreetMap and thanks for adding this. It's fine as it is, but if you wanted to add a little more detail to help routing software, you could add surface and incline tags. Links for the tags which might be useful are below. This is entirely optional, so please do not feel as if you need to change anything. osm.wiki/Key:surface

162354136 | 7 months ago | (Review requested) Thanks for adding this, it looks fine to me. You could add designation=permissive_footpath if you wanted, but it's not essential. The documentation of the tag is at osm.wiki/Key:designation#United_Kingdom |
162340843 | 7 months ago | Are you sure that they shouldn't be highway=construction + construction=residential? The roads may not yet be open to traffic, but both are in OS Open USRN (with Designated Street Name records) and OS Open Names, including some of the geometries you deleted. 149269048 | 7 months ago | That's a relief, thanks. |
149269048 | 7 months ago | @Nathan_A_RF this looks like a StreetComplete problem rather than user error. It might be worth raising an issue on Github if it happens again, but at the moment GB taginfo looks fine - https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org.uk/keys/maxspeed:type#values |
162291286 | 7 months ago | Thanks for fixing that! You might find this Overpass Turbo query helpful: // Fractured multipolygons touched by @mapeing / @demise123

162298665 | 7 months ago | Changing it to building=apartments kept iD happy osm.org/changeset/162303813 |
162296541 | 7 months ago | Thanks for fixing it. It's likely to be related to this https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/new-edits-by-one-busmiles-user-in-the-uk/116376 |
139722993 | 7 months ago | I can't see any signage suggesting that these streets should be tagged as highway=living_street, which in the UK would be a TSRGD diagram 881 Home Zone sign (like this one https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Home_zone_Higham_on_the_Hill_Nuneaton_Dec_2019.jpg ). I think this is likely to be a problem with how StreetComplete interpreted your response to the AddMaxSpeed quest, rather than something you did. I'll restore the streets to highway=residential. |
162116447 | 7 months ago | Hi @swappa, many thanks for that. |
162240730 | 7 months ago | Please could you explain what benefit this has and point me to where this mechanical edit was discussed? There is no reference to direction=* being deprecated for public_transport=stop_position on the wiki osm.wiki/Tag:public_transport%3Dstop_position There may also be consumers of OSM data for purposes of non-bus routing which might find the presence and direction of a stop_position node useful. Those consumers should not need to consume and process every bus route relation to which the node belongs in order to infer the direction. That is why I have tended to add this and why I object to its removal without prior discussion. Please could you open a discussion about this at https://community.openstreetmap.org/ |
162111407 | 7 months ago | Thanks! |
162097542 | 7 months ago | Thanks, and apologies for missing it. I've got at least two bus route relations to repair as well. The mapper who introduced all the pretend dual carriageways created a few gaps, which I'm afraid I've added to. |
