I am now an international man of mapmaking! I've uploaded the data from my business trip to Gaborone. Fixed some roads, added a road name or two, added a number of buildings and actually added new roads that weren't on the map at all! There are lots more that need to be added.
I took a lot of pictures of street names that just weren't readable. Unfortunately, when you're only there for a day and have to work, there's only so much time to write down street names.

Most of your newly added way doesn't have any tag...
P.S. I have removed couple overlapping ways you added.

Brilliant, thanks!
Unfortunately, because I was driving alone, I couldn't take very good notes, so where I didn't know anything about a road, I didn't say anything. But I guess I should at least have marked them as "highway" or something so that it's clear that they're not railways.
I know exactly where the overlapping ways come from: I was adding new nodes in JOSM, and I didn't realize that I was creating ways at the same time. I'll be aware of that in future.

highway=road is useful for situations like this, where you don't know/remember is that it is a road, but not how to classify it. It basically means "road of an unknown classification". Renders in grey in Mapnik, so should jump out at other mappers as something that requires further work.

OK, I'll remember that in future.

Not perfect, but I've classified everything that I added that I could find as well as I could.
