generally speaking I am just a normal mapper like anybody else and deserve to be treated as such, I think a discussion needs to take place if someone wishes to classify a road based on their own definition and not that of our bylaw

confusion I meant, they are helpful for routing. in certain scenarios, a gps may confuse a straight with a turn when there is just a slight difference of angle. Besides that they are fine to be there based on the wiki unless im missing something?

well first of all "Remove junction=yes in SA where it's not needed due to no other tags on the junction" is not against any rule or policy. osm.wiki/Tag:junction=yes I mainly just place them at y intersections where a "straight" command could be used for either direction here is one example osm.org/node/1003369358 this one is a 3 way split osm.org/node/2521837104 , they mainly just help clear confussion in the real world sense. On principal I dont beleive the perfectly valid nodes should be questioned rather the "made up" reason for their removal

this road does not carry a (B) route anymore, it has officially been reclassified as a secondary road.

ok, paths/shared paths and cycleways are covered with the "crossing" node at intersections and in this case the "pedestrian crossing with traffic signals" node. This cycleway could be incorrectly placed as it is a shared path because horses are allowed to walk on the same marked path. The road itself could be tagged with the path because there is no separation. Cycleways are generally reserved for dedicated bike paths along creeks, along the beach for example. 1 single fact that I can tell you is that this road IS NOT a major arterial road or major highway which is why I removed the "primary" classification to start with. Aharvey if you think that primary classification is correct then you are actively sabotaging the project in order to back up your mate in an argument and nothing more. Read the wiki for primary roads

every single time forteras has a fit about the way roads have been classified the "discord army" of opinion always move the goal posts in his favor as shown by what aharvey is doing.

you are also part of fortera discord army and fortera has falsely claimed many of my past edits have been "illegal" and "invalid" when that have not been. id take forteras opinion with a grain of salt at this point. he is also the reason why we cant use any official data australia wide which makes it even harder to classify roads correctly. thankyou

@aharvey road classifications in Australia are very open to interpretation, nothing you have listed in your comment correlates to any information in the OSM wiki or previous discussions regarding road classifications please move the conversation to the community forum if you wish to have a proper discussion

@fortera_au as you also have a strong recorded history of purposely and incorrectly removing my edits, citing false reasons which I have a list of. Can you please seek a public consensus in the OSM community forums if you wish to make any changes to my classification changes of which are within the OSM wiki guidelines and based on fact and personal experience.
