No through road

If you can cycle along the bit of road where the bollards are, you should have a short way in the middle of the residential, which is a cycleway. Most routing engines don't take into account the barrier=bollards yet.

Mapnik is not working

Can you please elaborate?

It has probably been having the weekly import, so the minutely updates haven't caught up yet.

More back roads

Hey, It's awesome to hear that there is continuing to be mapping activity around there. I entered some of the old data over a year ago before I moved down to London.

Look out. A noobie at work.

It is better to upload as you go along, and re-download at least once a day, or more often in highly active areas. You will need to get used with this as you will get an error after api 0.6 if someone else has edited something before you upload.

Added map data for Liverpool / Runcorn / Warrington

I assume that you know about the minutely nonames server http://matt.sandbox.cloudmade.com/?zoom=11&lat=53.4121&lon=-2.99092&layers=B0

Obsession

Remember there is the minutely tile server available at http://matt.sandbox.cloudmade.com/

BARGEs. Green Parks mapping for Bermondsey

Tom Chance: You can use the CloudMade tiles in whatever app or js slippy map engine that you want, as long as you sign up for your own api key.

You may find WML will be easier to use, or have certain features that OL doesn't have.

Eventually OSB will be integrated in the main osm website.

Lincolnshire

Maybe it's time for a mapping party in the Grimsby area?

OSM is far too addicting

It is a recognised condition called OCOSMD.

How will this help people?

I'm currently beta testing auto re-routing on my mobile. It is very useful for finding bad osm data, which I of course correct when I get home.

I'm in the top 50!

I've not got around to uploading any traces in a while. Really need a sync utility, so that they are uploaded automatically.

Hello

Do you have a location, and we may be able to help you. Which editor were you using?

My edits get deleted - fighting automated scripts

Seems to be rendered now. osm.org/?lat=54.9499&lon=-3.1944&zoom=14&layers=B000FTF Updates are done each Wednesday/Thursday to the main map.

Things on either side of a street

Have you taken a look at osm.wiki/Addressing ?

The Future

OSM API 0.5 DTD

Each relation can have zero or more tags.

Need help

Maybe you should do some local publicity in some local media, community groups, cycling groups, or linux user groups? Have you thought about running a mapping party?

landuse=junkyard

Sounds that landuse=junkyard would be more appropriate and specific than landuse=industrial. Have you given it a name?

Yahoo traces and cycle routes in Waltham Forest

You can't copy from the TfL London Cycle Guides, due to copyright. You need to follow the route on the ground, which in most boroughs is sign posted. You can use the guides to find out where they are as long as you go on the ground and follow them.

Simplified mess

How about waiting for api 0.6 when the relations will become ordered, however you may need to wait for the editors to be updated to cope with the ordering of the relations.
