113588153 | almost 2 years ago | Sorry, should have been more specific. Why is “leisure=park” a tag on it? |
140131550 | almost 2 years ago | Hello, where is the source/discussion relating to this import? When looking at the data it matches poorly with imagery, with a lot of inaccuracies. |
134319385 | over 2 years ago | I see - that user has done this in many other places and it seems easier to mass revert their changesets. However, I'm not experienced in doing mass reverts like that - mostly individual changesets |
134318074 | over 2 years ago | Hi, thanks for mapping! You should be aware that buildings are usually never pentagonal - their roof is gabled (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gable_roof) and the satellite took imagery that was slanted a bit - so these should all be rectangular. |
134202072 | over 2 years ago | Welcome to OSM! There's a specific tagging nomenclature for what you're trying to add, which is why the tagging for your place was changed in the first place. Because of this, I am removing the tags you just added, as they have already been converted into data that OSM uses - if you have any questions, you can shoot me a message! |
134201917 | over 2 years ago | Thanks for mapping! Could you please use more descriptive changeset comments? See osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments |
133745066 | over 2 years ago | Why are you moving the boundary? |
134198462 | over 2 years ago | *centralia (for the five most recent ones), forgot to change changeset comment |
134114849 | over 2 years ago | My bad, I’ve seen that you’ve joined 👍 |
134114849 | over 2 years ago | Validity aside, you’re saying town is better because you can’t change it to borough, but you can’t change it to town for the exact same reasons… why are you wasting energy trying to change to a subpar tag if you can’t change it for the exact same reasons? Do you have examples of actual suburbs being tagged as quarters, neighborhoods, etc? I consider everything else to be tagged 100% right. As has been said previously (but you seem to have continuously ignored), this needs a discussion that is constructive and that can be accomplished easier on other channels of communication. I invite you to talk there! |
134114849 | over 2 years ago | I would consider town even worse. Your three arguments for town being better are that
|
134114849 | over 2 years ago | Hi!
As a local, I don't call Brooklyn (for example) a suburb, but I also don't call it a town. In a nutshell, two wrongs don't make a right. If you think something is mistagged so you change the tags to something else that's wrong because it looks better on the renderer, that's exactly the definition of tagging for the renderer. Everyone would love a discussion about whether/how the tagging should be changed, and I encourage you to join the Slack! |
113588153 | over 2 years ago | Hi, what is the meaning of osm.org/way/1000937959/history ? |
133485362 | over 2 years ago | Can you at least message me before deleting it? I was planning on editing them later (and mapping the city) but now I'm out of motivation for NK mapping. Thanks,
|
132373200 | over 2 years ago | Hi, you seem to have created a lot of orphan nodes. See osm.org/edit#map=16/39.0256/125.6086 |
133333386 | over 2 years ago | Hi, Can you show where the names you add to these places exist on the ground? |
131144028 | over 2 years ago | Hi, your edit seems to have changed a stretch of highway to being under construction. Is this the case on the ground? |
128909577 | over 2 years ago | It seems to be mostly a survey with a few errant ones and not an import - this is why more descriptive changeset comments/smaller bounding box size is needed. |
127894622 | over 2 years ago | Hi, what source are you using for these roads? They sure don't seem to be existent on Maxar, which is the imagery you used. |
126948659 | almost 3 years ago | Hi, you changed the residential area to a building, which is incorrect. Please be more mindful about this in the future. Thanks! |
