Hi,
I am new here and I wonder, if someone can help me. Another person has drawn a map of my hometown and made a mistake with the names. There is a long road, which has three different names, but he gave it only one of the names. How can I seperate the road and add the correct names?

Are you using the "Edit" tab? If so:
The long road is probably just one way, which you'll have to cut into pieces.
Select the road, then select the node where you want to cut it, then click the scissors symbol. Repeat for the longer remaining part.
Now you can select each new way, and should be able to change the value of the name field.
