Rosemead Blvd.

I finished up some work on Rosemead Blvd., from the southern border of Temple City to SR-60. The work included splitting the road way into separate north-bound and south-bound ways, adjusting all the affected intersections, and re-building the interchange at I-10. I also fixed up some misaligned streets west of Rosemead Blvd., between Valley Blvd. and the railroad tracks.

West San Gabriel Valley, California

Lately I've been working on a few things in the West San Gabriel Valley, just east of downtown Los Angeles in California.

- I've been cleaning up my home town, Temple City, by fixing up street alignments, adding some newly built streets, and adding parks, schools, restaurants, etc. There's more to do, and I plan on building it up continuously.

- I've added a few parks/schools/restaurants to adjacent areas as well.

- I was a little under the weather just after Christmas, so I took the opportunity to start a complete rehabilitation of Interstate 210. There was a lot of junk on this route, especially on its junctions with other routes. My goal is to have the full length of this highway completed by January 4, 2009, before I return to work after my company's end-of-year holiday. This includes: i) every junction properly rendered; ii) maxspeed, oneway, and lanes entries for all sections; iii) alignment with Yahoo satellite imagery; iv) clean-up of adjacent roads that have off-ramps and/or on-ramps with this highway. I started at the northern terminus with I-5, and so far I've gotten to the I-605 junction. There's still lots to do, but I'll get it done.

Peace River riverbank

A couple of weeks ago I did the way for the stream path of the Peace River in BC and AB. Even though the GeoBase load will likely wipe out most if not all of my work, I decided to plow ahead and do the riverbank work for the river over this weekend. I've been recovering from some surgery, and this was just the right kind of mindless work that made the time pass more quickly.

Northern British Columbia

The last few days I've been tracing some roads, rivers, and lakes in northern British Columbia and a little in northern Alberta. Today I completed work on the river path (but not the riverbanks) of the Peace River, all the way from Williston Lake to the Slave River. I also did some work in Hay River, NT, and Dease Lake, BC. It's been fun, but I may take a break for a few days.
