Hello and welcome to OpenStreetMap (OSM). Thanks for editing the map. Unfortunately, when editing OSM we are not allowed to use Google Street View due to Google's terms of use. I look forward to seeing more edits from you (of course based on sources that we are allowed to use).

Hello and welcome to OpenStreetMap (OSM). Thanks for editing the map. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to use Google Maps when editing OSM due to Google's terms of service. I encourage you to make use of some of the many sources that are allowed to be used when editing OSM, such as Bing aerial imagery.

Hi, Thanks for the response, however, you are not allowed to use Google Maps, Google Earth, Google Street View, or Google Imagery as a source, including an "additional source." Google's terms of use state "you may not... use Google Maps/Google Earth to create or augment any other mapping-related dataset" Using Google Maps etc. as "an additional source" when editing OSM is using it to "augment" another "mapping-related dataset"

Are you removing because of poor quality, or because of licensing issues? Google Buildings are explicitly allowed to be used in OSM, see https://sites.research.google/open-buildings/#open-buildings-faq

If you are doing this for quality reasons you might want to redraw by hand at the same time you are deleting.

Hello, Welcome to OpenStreetMap (OSM). Thanks for editing the map. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to use, reference, or mention Google Street View when editing OSM due to Google's terms of use. Doing so could put the OSM project in legal jeopardy.

Thanks! Some of the way this stuff is mapped is crazy! Another thing I am seeing is greens overlapping fairways.

Hello, Thanks for all of the golf-related edits. It looks like in this case you created a "rough" area that completely encloses and covers the "fairway", so in other words, the fairway is mapped as both a fairway and a rough, which is not correct since the two are mutually exclusive. What you want to do is create a multipolygon for the rough and make the fairway a hole or island in that multipolygon.

Agree with @Barroszt. Please restrict changesets to a much smaller geographical area, such as that of a small town.

I agree with @InsertUser. Confining edits to a small geographic area (e.g. a small city), makes review a lot easier with the present tools we have. Thanks.

Yes, in-person visits, or "surveys" as it is sometimes called in OpenStreetMap, is an acceptable method of gathering information. It is the best method.
