150011537 | over 1 year ago | Again, in OSM the name tag is for the actual name, not the type of facility, such as "Casa." Also, you need to explain where exactly you are getting this information. It is generally not possible to get addresses from aerial imagery - which is the source you cite. |
150011280 | over 1 year ago | Hello again, It looks like you are continuing to copy from another map source. You cited "aerial imagery" as your source, but you are adding addresses, types of business, and names that cannot be gotten from "aerial imagery." |
149916163 | over 1 year ago | Hello Autopistero20502020, Thanks for your message. I apologize for not writing in Spanish. The issue here is not whether these edits are correct or not, or whether there are other sources that support the edit, but whether Google Street View was used in contradiction to its terms of service. - and it seems that it was. You are certainly free to redo the edits from scratch (not revert) using only sources that are acceptable to OSM. The other sources that are cited above seem to be either lists of roads, or less detailed maps, so it will probably be difficult to derive detailed map information from them. Note that there are a number of services like Google Street View that are acceptable for use in OSM, including Mapillary and KartaView. You could also visit the area, take your own photos, and use those as the basis of the edit. |

149929015 | over 1 year ago | Hello, Thanks for your edit to the map. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to use Yelp when editing OpenStreetMap due to Yelp's terms of service which state in part: "you will not...Modify, adapt, appropriate, reproduce, distribute, translate, create derivative works or adaptations of, publicly display, sell, trade, or in any way exploit the Service or Service Content (other than Your Content), except as expressly authorized by Yelp;" Also, when deleting a business that has closed, you should leave the address. |
149959858 | over 1 year ago | Thanks for the reply Using Google Earth to find location locations needed editing and then editing that location is "using" Google Earth in the process of "augmenting" OpenStreetMap. In any event, if you didn't use Google Earth, why did you cite it as a source? |
149776734 | over 1 year ago | Adding to the excellent comment from @daganzdaanda: We are not allowed to use Google Maps when editing OpenStreetMap, either alone, or with other sources. Google's Terms of Service state: "you may not...use Google Maps/Google Earth to create or augment any other mapping-related dataset " |

149851006 | over 1 year ago | Hello, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Thanks for your edits to the map, we appreciate it! I see you cited Google Maps and Apple Maps as two of your sources. Unfortunately, when editing OpenStreetMap we are not allowed to use either of those sources due to their Terms of Service. I also noticed that there were some crossing highways in the area you edited. Highways shouldn't simply cross, but should be connected with a shared node (unless there is a bridge - which I don't think is the case here) |

149884002 | over 1 year ago | Hello, Welcome to OpenStreetMap! It is great to have you as part of our community of map enthusiasts! Thanks for your edit to the map, and for citing your source - that is important. Unfortunately, when editing OpenStreetMap we are not allowed to use Google Maps due to Google's Terms of Service, which state in part: "you may not...use Google Maps/Google Earth to create or augment any other mapping-related dataset." I look forward to seeing other edits from you - using acceptable sources of course. |
