When you say the source is Google Maps, that indicates that you copied or verified the information using Google Maps, which isn't allowed. So, just enter the information based on your knowledge, and for the source, enter "local knowledge" or "this is my business" or "I work at this business. " With what exactly are you having difficulty changing? What did you try, and what happened?

Unfortunately, when editing OpenStreetMap we are not allowed to use Google Maps or Bing Maps due to their terms of service (we can use Bing aerial imagery). You should only use sources whose license/terms of service are compatible with OSM when editing.

Thanks for your friendly reply. You are free to edit the map using sources that have licenses/terms of service that are compatible with OSM. Unless you are sure that a source has a license/terms of service that is compatible with OSM do not use it.

Thanks for your friendly reply, and for taking responsibility. Please avoid not just citing prohibited sources, but using them in any way to enhance OpenStreetMap. This would include most commercial map sources.

Thanks for your friendly reply. It is great to hear that GIS courses are including OpenStreetMap. It is intersting that your GIS instructor would have you edit OpenStreetMap without giving you some instructions as to what is allowed, and/or touching on intellectual property (IP) rights in general - which is applicable to GIS too.

Your edit cannot be restored because it is "contaminated" by having violated Google's Terms of Service in creating it. You are free to find other sources that support the edit (and cite those sources) and redo it - however, do not include the SEO Spam hashtags in the changeset. Also, the cafe was tagged Pizza_on_fridays=yummy - that is not a standard tag in OSM. You also added the tag addr:street=N 2nd St, in OSM we do not generally abbreviate things, so it probably should be North 2nd Street - more stuff your instructor should have pointed out.

With regard to your edit, when editing OpenStreetMap we are not allowed to use Google Maps - which you cite as one of your sources. This is due to Google's Terms of Service. You are free to redo the edit using only accepted sources, such as your local knowledge.

Also, the "hashtags" you added are considered SEO spam, and would probably be deleted even if the edit was made using acceptable sources.
