150500274 | over 1 year ago | Hello, Welcome to OpenStreetMap! Thanks for your edit to the map. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to use Google Maps when editing OpenStreetMap, not even to confirm a field survey. This is due to Google's Terms of Service. |

150491134 | over 1 year ago | Hello, Thanks for your edit to the map! You cited Google Maps as one of your sources. Unfortunately, when editing OpenStreetMap we are not allowed to use Google Maps due to Google's Terms of Service. This applies even if you believe that the original information came from the operator - once the information is in Google Maps it belongs to Google. Perhaps you can go directly to the operator to get the information. |

150453388 | over 1 year ago | Sorry about that, I had assumed that the message on the actual changeset would be visible first. I did see that there is another changeset that cites Google Maps as a source, which will have to be deleted too - sorry. |
150453388 | over 1 year ago | Hello again, Did you see my comment on your changeset? You are not allowed to use Google Maps when editing OpenStreetMap. |

150410019 | over 1 year ago | Hello, Welcome to OpenStreetMap! It is great to have you as part of our community of map aficionados. Thanks for your edit to the map. You cited Google Earth as one of your sources, unfortunately, we are not allowed to use Google Earth when editing OpenStreetMap due to Google's Terms of Use. To protect you, the OpenStreetMap project, and users of OpenStreetMap data, the edit will be reverted. You can redo the edit using only sources that are allowed. One very good source for trails is the Strava Global Heatmap (requires an account, but the account is free). You can also use Bing aerial imagery and Esri World Imagery. You can also collect a GPS track using your phone or smartwatch. Some minor additional things, the trail should be connected to the nearby road (presuming one can walk from the road to the trail). This is helpful for routing. The trail should *not* be connected to the powerline. highway=path, rather than highway=footway, is probably more appropriate and matches the other trails in the area. |
