150931957 | over 1 year ago | Hello, Thanks for the edits, we appreciate it. You cited Google Maps as the source for these edits. Unfortunately when editing OpenStreetMap we cannot use Google Maps (or Google Earth, Google Street View, or any map imagery from Google) due to Google's Terms of Service. This includes copying from, citing, using to verify/confirm, using as secondary source, or otherwise referencing. |
150916951 | over 1 year ago | Hello, Thanks for your edits to the map. Unfortunately, when editing OpenStreetMap we are not allowed to use Google Maps or Apple Maps due to their respective Terms of Service, this includes copying from, citing, using to verify, or referencing. |
150902346 | over 1 year ago | These do not appear to be beaches in the available imagery as there appears to be considerable vegitation. |
150902336 | over 1 year ago | This does not appear to be a beach. In the available imagery it is either covered in grass, mud, or under water. |
150902320 | over 1 year ago | As has previously been communicated, buildings should be tagged building=yes, or other appropriate building=* value. Buildings are not themselves landuse. |

150811328 | over 1 year ago | It appears you have added a park that doesn't exist. Also, buildings are not landuse=* |
150811399 | over 1 year ago | Hello again JorgeLeo33, buildings are not landuse=*, they should be tagged building=yes, building=industrial, or other appropriate value. |
150816104 | over 1 year ago | Thanks for your replies, and sorry for my delayed response. The main problem with the "beaches" you were adding is that they were not loose sand, gravel, pebbles, stones or shells based on available imagery. Further, natural=beach is for areas along the coast where wave action has shaped the landscape. While this also sometimes happens along large rivers or next to large inland bodies of water, it probably doesn't occur next to small ponds or streams unless someone (if someone has hauled in some sand for the purpose of creating a beach it might qualify too if it mimics what would be found along the sea coast). We have been having a rash of map vandalism related to people creating fake beaches, so I would expect any new beaches added would be scrutinized. Best to start with mapping other features. There is no need, and it would be no help, to insert a link to the wiki page. Regarding advice, the best place to start mapping is near where you live. Get out and observe the world first hand and map what you find. You can then cite "survey" as your source. Happy mapping! |
150815413 | over 1 year ago | natural=shingle is probably better, although if you really want it to be a beach, that probably would work too. I don't really think of a small area of pebbles next to a small stream as a beach, and the wiki seems to agree. My main concern was whether this was real. We have been having some problems with people adding fake beaches as Pokemon Go now uses that feature for something that matters to those who play that game. Thanks for your understanding |
150816104 | over 1 year ago | Hello, Welcome to OpenStreetMap! Thanks for your edits to the map. I see you have added some beaches (natural=beach) in this and some of your other changesets. Can you explain why you feel these are beaches? |

150698413 | over 1 year ago | Hello, Thanks for your edit to the map. I see you cited "google streets" as the source for your edits. I assume you mean "Google Street View" or "Google Maps." Unfortunately, when editing OpenStreetMap we are not allowed to use Google Maps, Google Street View, Google Earth, or any imagery from Google Maps due to Google's terms of use. |

150717315 | over 1 year ago | Hello, Welcome to OpenStreetMap! Thanks for updating the information about what I assume is your business. I see you cited Google Maps as one of your sources. When editing OpenStreetMap we are not allowed to use (copy from, cite as a source, use as a reference, use for validation) Google Maps due to Google's terms of Service. You are free to redo the edit using only acceptable sources, which could include your personal knowledge, and/or your business' website. Thanks for your understanding |
