164183152 | 5 months ago | Many thanks for your note. When I surveyed the junction there was only one lane, but that may have been due to construction work which is now finished. Have corrected to 2 lanes as per current imagery. |

107664940 | about 4 years ago | Hello, many thanks for improving this local area but at the St.Margarets Roundabout, for example, would it be possible to not have the split where the main road divides into the oneway roundabout link roads (e.g. as at node 1187899289) turning away at such a sharp angle? Some routing applications think that this is an actual left turn and give spurious directions. The smoother transitions as they were before this changeset gave the correct directions. |
109200188 | about 4 years ago | Thanks for the note. There still seems to be no agreement on the two "correct" conventions for areas alongside roads, but most of the mapping of Bath seems to be to not have them joined so thanks for reverting the Trinity Street area. |
104411191 | over 4 years ago | Hello and thanks for your comments, sorry for taking a while to address them but I wanted to carefully check the mapping convention. Initially I'd connected the three ways you mentioned because they were giving warnings ("start unreachable") in iD, but looking at the documentation there should indeed be no service road there and the warnings can be ignored. Hope this is OK. |
68666140 | over 6 years ago | Hallo, Thanks for your comment. I has misread the Tschachenstrasse sign while surveying and noted it as a complete prohibition. Having checked again it seems that the restriction is for motor_vehicle only, so I have now changed it back. Should Längeneggstrasse be motor_vehicle=private not motor_vehicle=no, since it is allowed to landowners with permission? (The sign also says 4WD only, but that as an access key is controversial). |
66505449 | over 6 years ago | Hello, thanks for your comments on this changeset. And for the clarification on counting of lanes - it wasn't clear that cycle lanes were not included in the lane count, but I was getting incorrect navigation turn directions so wasn't sure whether the lane tags needed to be corrected. The new turn right at Römerstraße was a mistake, again I was trying to fix navigation at a junction where it didn't seem to want to make a right turn, but picked the wrong junction! I have now reverted the changes. Regards, |
The building=yes tag on the boundary area was a mistake, I have now removed it. The landuse=retail on the area to the west of the building was to try to map the outdoor sales area (for large plants, etc). I don't know if there is a more suitable tag - the same situation would be e.g. the open air terrace of a restaurant. I have looked through the OSM wiki but cannot find a suitable tag, but if you know a suitable one to use then please let me know. |
