Should this be motor_vehicle=private rather than access=private?
The national forest way implies there is access at least on foot

Hi, you seem to have created an overlapping way. What were you trying to achieve ?

Sorry no idea, probably car parking.
I don't get to that part of Leicester these days.

Hi
Welcome to OSM.

We generally tag Poundstrecher as a shop=variety_store, shop=convenience is used for small supremarkets such a tesco express and one stop.

The number belongs to Brucies Bike Shop, looks like a mistake.
See if mapper responds, but after a few days fix it. My guess is Peppercorn Lane

Hi
Is Taunton Road really a dual carriagway?
If it is, it is missing oneway tags, however it doesn't look like there is any physical division on bing imagery.
On bing I can see a right turn lane into Elmwood Road, but it seems to join at a bridge with no connectivity from the southbound A38.

What is this area meant to represent?

Please can you explain what you have done in this changeset?

You appear to have added more garbage and tag clutter to the database in the form of ref=GSM3 for example. What are these. are they of any use to me as a rail passenger, and what is the source of this information?

That looks better, I would have joined the road to the river and tagged that node as ford=yes, a way is normally only used a way if the river is wide enough to be mapped with riverbanks.
Are you sure the bridge is a wide enough to be a cycleway, highway=footway with either bicycle=yes or dismount. Access=no is not needed.

Hi, sorry about the delay replying.
It is probably safer to simply delete the node to stop the history, and hence personal information, being displayed.
Open the iD editor, select the node and hit the delete key.
Cheers
Phil

Mapper has not responded, so I am reverting both changesets.
Unless the Gold Crest is stuffed and nailed to a tree I doubt I can go there and verify it.

Hi, I do not think that the A487 passes through a university campus. The campus should be split long its boundaries either side of the road and the two parts joined with a relation if necessary.

Al Bela has currently closed in the opening hours tag, is this still the case?
Also there is little point adding a smoking=no tag to a resturant as that is the law and can be assumed for all commercial premises. Tagging that there is an outside area may be useful if it exists.

I also agree with will_p, these edits should have been discussed and agreed on @talk-gb prior to being changed.

Also I consider the term juvenile inappropriate in this case, I do not think your undersatnding reflects modern English usage.

Using the term survey when you have not visited an area is extremely misleading.

Hi Claire
Thank you for adding this road to the map, I do know it but had not spotted it was missing.
A few minor issues which it would be good if you can fix.
The road is really highway=unclassified, it does not really merit upgrading to tertiary.
The highway_1 tag is not needed, instead you should join the road to the river and tag that node with ford=yes.
It would be good if you could also add the footbridge.
Let me know if you have any questions,

Cheers Phil

Hi
You seem to be making a lot of edits in Shropshire, mostly adding landuse which in itself is not bad, however many of your additions are very simplified and often do not map the areas accurately. A mapper with your number of edits really should be taking more care.
For example www.openstreetmap.org/way/386349818 which is one of many I could have picked, is represented as a rectangle with just 4 nodes, it clearly needs to have many more. The landuse actually cuts through a building.
This style of mapping causes work for mappers who whant to improve the map of bu adding buildings, fences and hedges as the first thing they need to do is fix the inaccurate landuse.
I am sorry to sound negative but in the past much of Shrewsbury was mapped as broad brush landuse and once buildings began to be added the landuse was in most cases needed to be fixed before these could be added.

Please revert these changes, osm is intended to map things that are verifiable and not to use as a personal diary.
If you need a personal way of displaying things on a map use umap.openstreetmap.fr.
