Kiamba, Sarangani

Posted by wdmanuel on 14 January 2011 in English.

Finally, after thinking of doing so with our provincial trips, the National Telehealth Center has now mapped a far-flung area: Kiamba, Sarangani.

A wealth of data has been added through the help of Engr Randy Fernandez and his Android phone.

At least twenty schools were added, as were a number of health centers, barangay halls, hospitals, named bridges and the road leading from the General Santos City airport to Kiamba.

Next week, the municipalities of Quezon, Quezon and San Juan, Batangas will be mapped by other members of the team. I am so excited for the National Telehealth Center's plans for Openstreetmap. I personally want to map all the health centers and hospitals in the country by the end of 2012.

Ah, so that's the story behind the Kiamba edits I've been seeing!

Does the NTC want an OSM workshop or can you handle that on your own? :-)

Okay naman na. Otherwise, we have Mr Eric Pareja on our staff to provide more input.
