Pictures from the 450 year road

Posted by webrian on 26 January 2010 in English.

Last weekend I rode rather accidentally than planned parts of the new 450 year road (see my previous posts). This time I didn't miss to take some pictures. As one can see, I wasn't the only two-wheel rider.

Anyway, if you come across big concrete tubes filled with all kind of building rubble, huge blocks of stone and tree trunks on top of it, it probably means that the road is closed.

That's the lao way!

To be continued ... till the whole road is collected.

How closed is closed in this case?

Officially the road is closed again (after the temporary use of a smaller section during the SEA Games in December). But you can ride it easily with a motorbike or bicycle and you won't be the only one ... Just pay attention to the trucks.
