143056970 | almost 2 years ago | Not acceptable. Someone who can edit OSM and write changeset comments can also make their point on community.openstreetmap.org. I will not tolerate further vandalism of this path. Please understand that creating additional accounts to circumvent a DWG block is a violation of our terms and it undermines your credibility in any further discussion. |
142934664 | almost 2 years ago | Blocked user Turid Nordbye in osm.org/user_blocks/15263 as advertised. |
142934664 | almost 2 years ago | Dear Turid Nordbye, in this changeset you have (again) removed a path that you would prefer not to exist (the one that connects Sprengsneset to the path network in the West); extensive community discussion in https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/request-for-assistance-from-the-norwegian-community-in-the-resolution-of-a-mapping-dispute/104524/38 had previously shown that the community prefers to keep the path. I have restored the path now. Please do not delete it again, or else your account will have to be suspended for vandalism. 139579298 | almost 2 years ago | Dear niccokunzmann, in this changeset you have added a "farm shop" named "cwm Coed y Celyn Farm". What is your source for this edit - were you there and are you sure that this is a shop and carries that name? I am not doubting your data, but the DWG has received a complaint and I would like to point the complainant to the data source. If I could tell them "our volunteers have visited the place in August and that's what it is called" then I'll happily do that. (DWG Ticket#2023101510000071) |
142143866 | almost 2 years ago | There are multiple countries bordering this water body and only one of them is using the (Arabic) name "Persian Gulf". There were lengthy discussions on the OSM talk mailing list about this, see https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk/2021-November/087097.html - the current compromise is that while we use the English name "Persian Gulf", the Arabic name is the equivalent of "Arabic Gulf", and name:fa (the Farsi name) is again the equivalent of "Persian Gulf". Feel free to raise this discussion on the community forum again, but unilateral changes are not acceptable. |
142002100 | almost 2 years ago | Asking in the course of handling DWG ticket Ticket#2023071410000373. If you cannot show a valid source for your edits, please stop adding these names to OSM. |
141477633 | almost 2 years ago | I have asked the other mapper for a source in osm.org/changeset/142002100 |
142002100 | almost 2 years ago | Dear Maloss34, in this changeset you re-added the names "Zero", "Asso", and "TNT" to several mountain bike trails. In osm.org/changeset/141477633, mapper Andrea Del Sarto writes that these names are not official. Can you please provide a source (ideally a photo that shows signs on the ground) for your naming? |
141477633 | almost 2 years ago | Dear Andrea Del Sarto, in this changeset you have removed a couple of "name" tags created by user Maloss34, and replaced them with "mtb:name". This kind of editing has been going back and forth for a while. Do you have a reason to believe that his name is wrong, or why are you relegating it to the obscure "mtb:name" tag? What do the signs on the ground say? (Asking as a DWG member, working on Ticket#2023071410000373) |
173897 | almost 2 years ago | Hey Guillaume, thank you, I'm still getting the knack of this OSM thing. Can you show me where I enter the changeset comment? I have JSOM build 422 on Java SE5. Do I need to upgrade? |
Wohnst Du in Osnabrück?
141410402 | almost 2 years ago | Previous discussion in Swiss community where it was pointed out that something with one node per metre is not necessarily more "precise" http://lists.openstreetmap.ch/archives/list/talk-ch@openstreetmap.ch/thread/MDNT4XCPD76OAUTMNBPFLN55KZS6FYBY/ |
141410402 | almost 2 years ago | Pan, could you explain the technical process you used to create osm.org/relation/3238626 - surely this was not manually traced? |
