There needs to be a verifiable source that this refinery is called "Vecchia Raffineria" in Italian, otherwise your name:it is just a translation and needs to go.

Please provide a source for this pitch in Mauritania actually bearing the Italian name "campo sportivo". As you know, name tags are not indended for descriptions - the "leisure=pitch" already gives everyone the information they need. Do you really think it would be good to have name:xx tags for 200+ languages on this, all explaining that it is a pitch?

Hello Disnh, I had requested that you stop uploading masses of AI generated buildings in a short time, but now you've apparently added some artificial upload slow-down to your toolchain where instead of uploading 1000 buildings at once you first slowly upload the nodes of the buildings and - I assume - later upload the ways. Don't do that, because if in the hours between your node upload and your way upload someone detects these "untagged nodes" they might well be deleted by the time you try to upload the ways!

If you are really tracing buildings manually, then simply upload your work once every 50 buildings or so. Don't wait until you have 1000 buildings and then upload them all at once.

"foot:use_sidepath" is ein ungewöhnliches Tag und ergibt auch nur dann Sinn, wenn überhaupt ein "sidepath" existiert, nicht bei osm.org/way/1252110341; "cycleway:both=no" ist Standard, das muss man nicht extra mappen, oder? osm.org/way/130998180

Please don't add advertising copy in the "description" tag ("Professional with competitive prices"). OpenStreetMap is not an SEO tool.

Please try to keep the total area of your changeset small, and upload edits that belong to different countries (continents even!) in separate changesets. Thank you!

Dear harshjoshi-iitbhu, when you upload data to OSM you are prompted for a "changeset comment". This is for your fellow mappers to understand what you are doing. Putting a single dot in that field is not a sufficient changeset comment; we'd expect you to explain what you edited and why. For example, in this particular case, "aligned POI with road grid" or something like that.

Dear Abdulrahman kaku, when you upload data to OpenStreetMap, you are asked for a "changeset comment". This comment is a message you are sending to other human mappers in the area about your work. It should explain, in either English or another locally used language, what the edit is about. For example: "Tracing buildings". Other OSM volunteers are not necessarily involved with HOT so they will not be able to understand what "#hotosm-project-16183 #esc2023 #wnah #mushin2#humanitarian-mappers #Map4Climate " is supposed to mean. Hashtags in changeset comments are optional - but writing changeset comments that consist entirely of hashtags is disrespectful towards your fellow mappers.

Usw.

Don't ;) in OSM we only map stuff that is still visible. If you have to resort to old maps and old photos then you should contribute this information to OpenHistoricalMap, not to OpenStreetMap.

This changeset deletes a lot of data (see https://overpass-api.de/achavi/?changeset=148130563) which is still clearly visible on aerial imagery. Because the mapper has not given a reason for this invasive edit, and because their user name is "jokejoker", I am reverting it.

Is this related to osm.org/user_blocks/15757 ?

Dear user Septana2OOO, please use better changeset descriptions than
"اصلاح..."
and explain why you are changing the highway tag of many roads.

Dear DribareyoConsy, in your edits you claim to have been using "Bing" imagery yet many of the "buildings" you add are just blurry splotches of colour on the Bing imagery, e.g. here: osm.org/way/1255925518 - can you confirm that you are indeed tracing these buildings from Bing and not some other data source, and how did something like the way I quoted above happen?

Seeing that user Barroszt is continuing to map elsewhere without participating here, and therefore apparently has nothing to add, I am now preparing to revert all of Barroszt's changesets that affected the city of Torun in 2024.

Dear user Evlyn, I have reverted your deletion of tracks in this changeset. While land owners can determine where people may go, they cannot dictate what is shown on OpenStreetMap. If you, as a representative of the land owner, have disallowed access on these paths (and signposted this accordingly) then the paths can be marked "access=private" or "access=no" in OpenStreetMap to ensure that everyone knows that these paths, while existing on the ground, may not be used. Deleting a track from OSM that exists on the ground is considered vandalism.

Dear user Tomcrown, when uploading data please use a human-readable changeset description like: "traced buildings in Sango-Otta from Bing" - you can add a hashtag referring to the HOT project if you want, but #hotosm-project-16065;#esc2023;#wnah;#Sango;#Map4Climate is too much & of little use to the humans who read it.

I was not writing this to get a "thank you", I was hoping you'd fix the error. But I've done it for you now so don't worry.

146515808 over 1 year ago

The DWG has become aware of this situation (Ticket#2024022010000431 ). It appears that user Barroszt has turned his attention elsewhere, participating in Map Roulette Challenges in the US. This indicates that the user believes they have sufficiently cleaned up the situation in Torun. Can other mappers confirm that Torun is now "repaired"? If not, I will revert all edits of user Barroszt in the area in the last few months (because you cannot break things in OSM "in preparation for remapping" and then go away and do something else).
