Other Mappers have contacted us with concerns about your work in that you have been mapping, and naming, fictitious walking paths.

As has been pointed out to you previously, OSM is used by so many various users, worldwide, so it is essential that the utmost care be taken to ensure that only correct and factual information is added to the map.

I understand that you are attempting to create walking routes for your own use, but this mustn’t be done in OSM itself.

It has also been suggested that you have been adding details to OSM that have been copied from Google Maps or StreetView?

Again, it is one of the basic principles of OSM that no data may be copied from any copyrighted source without express approval being received in advance, as this could hold OSM open for legal action.

If this indeed the case, then you must stop doing this, and these changes must also be reverted, immediately.

Once you have read this note, you will again be able to log-in and continue mapping in OSM, but we ask you to take note of these comments, to avoid any possible further action.
