This message is to advise that a temporary block has been placed on your OSM account.

It is one of the basic principles of OSM that no data may be copied from any copyrighted source without express approval being received in advance, as this could hold OSM open for legal action. This particularly applies to the use of any Google Map, Earth, or Streetview image.

However, you have recently openly stated that at least one of your Changesets was made based on Google Streetview imagery. We also have reason to believe that you may be doing this frequently, as you have made other edits, supposedly based on aerial imagery, but adding details that are not visible from above e.g. building colours, number of levels etc.

We therefore have to ask how many of your edits have been based on Streetview imagery?

Once you have read this note, you will again be able to log-in and continue mapping in OSM.

However, if we have not heard from you with the required explanations by 28 July, further action may have to be taken, up to and including the reversion of all of your OSM edits to date, and the long-term blocking of your account.
