but if your OSM email settings are correct then these comments will also generate an email message to you. It is considered good practise to respond publicly to these comments.

This is all the more important for someone with as many edits as you have - you want to lead by good example, not exude an air of superiority where you don’t have to deal with the riff-raff ;)
