Also, I’d suggest that you read the forum thread https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/what-is-the-protocol-when-you-think-someone-is-tagging-incorrectly/122258 . That thread suggests that you are using information from a government database to update airports without any local knowledge that they actual airports exist. In this case, the forum thread explains that they do not exist, and suggests how they might have appeared on the government database. This suggests that you need to verify your updates from sources other than that database.
