Andy from OSM’s Data Working Group here. You seem to be closing a lot of notes without actually doing any editing? Maybe you’ve misunderstood what notes are supposed to be for? The idea is that someone adds a note (like “This store isn’t on the Coral website. Is it closed? Has something else opened?”) and someone local goes and has a look and sees what is there now. If you’d like to “just not see notes” you can turn off the notes layer in the OSM UI - see osm.wiki/Notes .
