This message is to advise that a temporary block has been placed on your OSM account.

It is one of the basic principles of OSM that no data may be copied from any copyrighted source without express approval being received in advance, as this could hold OSM open for legal action.

However, a number of other mappers have contacted us to express their concerns that you have apparently been editing OSM by using data from such a source, possibly Google Maps.

What is the source of your information for making these changes, please?

Once you have read this note, you will again be able to log-in and continue mapping in OSM, however, if we have not heard from you with the required explanations by 18 February, further action may have to be taken.
