Dear user mikkolukas,

you have made many edits in OpenStreetMap that violate our “automated edit” guidelines (see osm.wiki/Automated_edits). Such edits need to be discussed with the community before you execute them; you cannot just go around and change tens of thousands of objects with a script just because you believe that “OSM data rules” are in your favour. The danger of you mis-interpreting these “rules” is too high.

The community has recently objected to an old edit of yours where you added a fixme tag to many thousands of cycleways (see https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/is-this-mass-edit-welcomed-by-community-mass-adding-dubious-fixme-foot-yes-should-either-be-removed-as-foot-yes-is-already-an-implicit-value-for-a-cycleway-or-be-upclassified-to-foot-designated/129111) and I have reverted that edit.

There are other edits though which have not yet been reverted but which may have to be reverted because you have never discussed them with the community, such as osm.org/changeset/156064204#map=7/43.310/12.738 et al. (changes to the “lit” tag).

Please do not do that any more. If you find something where you believe that an automated mass edit makes sense, write a forum post asking for feedback and only execute the edit if the community agrees that it is a good idea.
