Following a discussion within the DWG we’ve decided to extend this block on this account for another 14 days. The block on the “Torunianin” account will not be removed as it was created simply to evade osm.org/user_blocks/18315 .

To be clear, creating a new acount to evade a block is strictly prohibited by https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/Ban_Policy (see last sentence of “Long-term blocks” paragraph).

You must not add fake or test data (such as osm.org/way/1327091031/history ).

You must reply to changeset comments promptly and not in a flippant manner (i.e. not “thank you for your interest in…”).

You have replied with assurances including “I am really sorry that I didn’t pay enough attention to the comments” - thank you for that. However, you have also complained in DWG messages about “an incompetent administrator who is too slow to block users”. For this reason we have to add that any continued personal attacks like this on OSM volunteers are unacceptable and will result in an immediate longer-term block.

For the avoidance of any doubt, political edits do not belong in OSM. Your initial block was osm.org/user_blocks/15187 and hopefully made that clear. However, your current account name suggests that you wish to bring your politics into OSM. This will be unhelpful to any attempt that you make to build bridges with the rest of the Polish community. Your account name is your business, but it is your choice - perhaps you should choose to work together with the rest of the Polish community and not to alienate anyone.

You must engage constructively with the community. For example, the reply quoted at osm.org/user_blocks/17670 where you were asked to explain your actions and instead said “thank you for your interest in the map of Toruń :)” is not an appropriate reply. I would recommend engaging with the discussions in the Polish forum about this and other similar topics, but these needs to be an exchange of views and a true discussion. We get that you care about OSM but you do not “own” the map, either of your local town or more widely.

When your block expires, we would recommend that you choose your edits carefully. Please discuss anything that other people might think is controversial (even if you are sure that you are correct), and please similarly discuss any “large scale” edits before making them.

We will announce this message both here and in the Polish forum. When your block expires we, and they will be watching your edits. Perhaps a good way to announce your return would be to post in the Polish forum apologising for your previous comments and edits, and promising to work with the community in the future.

Po dyskusji w DWG postanowiliśmy przedłużyć blokadę tego konta na kolejne 14 dni. Blokada konta „Torunianin” nie zostanie usunięta, ponieważ została utworzona po prostu w celu obejścia osm.org/user_blocks/18315 .

Aby było jasne, tworzenie nowego konta w celu obejścia blokady jest surowo zabronione przez https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/Ban_Policy (patrz ostatnie zdanie akapitu „Long-term blocks”).

Jednak Twoja obecna nazwa konta sugeruje, że chcesz wprowadzić swoją politykę do OSM. Nie będzie to pomocne w żadnej próbie budowania mostów z resztą polskiej społeczności. Nazwa Twojego konta to Twoja sprawa, ale to Twój wybór — być może powinieneś zdecydować się na współpracę z resztą polskiej społeczności, a nie zrażać nikogo.

Musisz konstruktywnie angażować się w społeczność. Na przykład odpowiedź zacytowana pod adresem osm.org/user_blocks/17670, gdzie poproszono Cię o wyjaśnienie Twoich działań, a zamiast tego napisałeś „dziękuję za zainteresowanie mapą Torunia :)” nie jest odpowiednią odpowiedzią. Zalecałbym zaangażowanie się w dyskusje na polskim forum na ten i inne podobne tematy, ale musi to być wymiana poglądów i prawdziwa dyskusja. Rozumiemy, że zależy Ci na OSM, ale nie jesteś „właścicielem” mapy, ani swojego lokalnego miasta, ani szerzej.

Po wygaśnięciu Twojej blokady zalecamy ostrożne wybieranie edycji. Omów wszystko, co inni ludzie mogą uznać za kontrowersyjne (nawet jeśli jesteś pewien, że masz rację) i podobnie omów wszelkie „duże” edycje przed ich wprowadzeniem.

Ogłosimy tę wiadomość zarówno tutaj, jak i na polskim forum. Po wygaśnięciu Twojej blokady my i oni będziemy obserwować Twoje edycje. Być może dobrym sposobem na ogłoszenie powrotu byłoby zamieszczenie na polskim forum przeprosin za poprzednie komentarze i edycje oraz obietnicy współpracy ze społecznością w przyszłości.
