I am writing to you in my capacity as a member of OSM’s Data Working Group, dealing with disputes and problematic edits.

Sadly, many of your recent edits in Nova Scotia are problematic. Other users have pointed out these issues to you, but you have mainly disregarded their comments and pressed on with your edits.

Before you continue any of your edits, please participate in the discussion on the talk-ca mailing list (lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-ca) where I have recently discussed your edits in this post: https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk-ca/2018-October/008794.html

In short,

• you are importing third-party data to OSM without the required discussion

• you are using unusual tags

• you degrade existing data by introducing the highly unusual boundary=land_area

• you add addr:* tags to large-scale objects (these are only used for individual buildings)

OpenStreetMap is a community project and we all need to work together. If people ask questions about your edits or complain, you need to start a dialogue, not tell them that you are right and soldier on.
