Dear users mariannae, cyberzeus, Joebertsss, josepgpagatpat, Knowell:
I am writing to all of you because you seem to be mapping as a team and I am not sure who your team leader is.
Please update your OSM user profile, explaining what team you are working with and who we can contact in case of questions.
There are a number of problems with your mapping, and other members of the Phillipine OSM community have tried to reach out to you, but have not had a response.
The biggest problem is that you add personal data to buildings. We do not map the names of individual persons, or how many grown-ups and children live in a household. If you need this information for a project then you have to store it in a separate, non-public repository.
Also, you have occasionally mapped many houses that are implausibly narrow (only 1 metre wide) like here: https://overpass-api.de/achavi/?changeset=65601644 I do not know what you wanted to achieve with that, but buildings in OSM must conform to the physical reality.
Your changeset comments are usually one word - “celo”, “house”, or “ean” - and it would be helpful if you could expand them a little bit, especially if you’re doing unusual things like adding 30 or 40 houses that are just one metre wide.
With this message I am blocking your account until the message has been read. Please, get in touch with the community in the Philippines, through their mailing list https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-ph or another communication channel of your choice listed in osm.wiki/PH/channels so that the community can help you achieve your goals without violating the privacy of individuals.
Best wishes Frederik Ramm OSMF Data Working Group
