Dear Tania Eikhman,
you are adding data to OpenStreetMap in a way that is very similar to that done by accounts Lucila Silbermann, AnnaTai, Elinorzag, Oksana C. We believe that you must be part of the same team of mappers. We sent your colleagues the message below but we have not heard back from them yet:
— begin of quote —
We would like to get in touch with you about your mapping. It appears that you are part of an organised group adding various POIs in the USA, however we have had some complaints about the quality of your additions, and one of you (Oksana C) has not replied to several questions about data sources (see osm.org/user_blocks/2874).
If you are part of an organised mapping team then you should be listing that in your user profiles, and you should be documenting your project (see https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Organised_Editing_Guidelines), and you definitely have to reply when other mappers ask you something about your work.
Please get in touch with the OSMF Data Working Group at data@osmfoudnation.org so that we can discuss your contributions.
Please do not add more data to OSM before you have made contact. This request also applies to other members of your team.
— end of quote —
Your mapping exhibits the same problems, for example huge “buildings” like osm.org/changeset/71552854 or osm.org/changeset/71625216 that have no basis in reality, and often overlap existing buildings.
Also, you are adding commercial POIs all over the USA without specifying a data source which is not credible. We need to be sure that the data comes into OSM from a permitted source and is not copied from a copyrighted source.
Because of all these Issues we asked your colleagues to get in touch, and we’re extending this request to you. Please, before you continue mapping, tell us what you are doing and on whose behalf, and we can help you make positive and useful contributions to OSM.
The contributions made by your and your colleagues will be removed, and we can see which of them we can re-add once we understand what is going on.
Thank you
Frederik Ramm
